The owner
Chicago's mechanical trade calls her the heater girl, because she sells every kind of heater: electric, gas, hot water, and steam. Nikki has worked in HVAC since 2006 and runs Hillco Distributing as owner and president.
She shows up on jobsites in a pink hard hat and pink steel-toe boots she had custom made in Australia, because nobody in America sold them. The pink is the brand, and the brand is hard to forget: in an industry where everybody is serious and everything is gray, being memorable is a business strategy that has paid for itself many times over.
She is also the person people call when they are looking for female tradespeople, tools, or a way into the industry. Which brings us to the club she started.
Nikki co-founded Windy City Women in HVAC in 2012 and serves as its president. The group backs women in Chicago's HVAC industry with education, connections, and industry exposure.

Hillco Distributing holds current woman-owned and disadvantaged business certifications from the City of Chicago, the State of Illinois, IDOT, the SBA, WBENC, the MWRD, and the states of Wisconsin and Indiana.
